Jane Ryan *Amazing artist*

I've been working down Portobello road recently. The stories so far have been endless, and i will get round to revealing all, as it involves such creative, talented and crazy individuals.......

But this one lady has catched my eye, she doesnt often work on the stall herself as she is a busy stylist /illustrator. But Jane Ryan's work is a real eye catcher. She draws free-hand and will draw in front of you, any particular design you wish for. This is definatly something to keep your eye out for when visiting portobello road or spitalfields market.

Sunday Shopping........

Most Sundays I use the day to relax and do a spot of Internet shopping, depending on the budget. But just browsing through Net a Porter and I saw a must have Halston Heritage dress, you all know my adoring love for Halston, so I had to buy it. It was abit over my budget but i will now sacrifice and live on bread and butter for a week.

While further net shopping I then realised I needed to jazz it up with shoes etc, checked my bank balance and I will just have to make do without unfortunately. But there is still no harm in blogging what I wanted to buy as now i can look back and remember what i wanted.

Marni Clogs £385 left,  Temperley of London £835 right

I picked 3 options for the shoes, all depending on the occasion.......and then I picked the ultimate Temperley of London bag priced at £845. So these items will have to be saved for in the piggy bank for now.

Chanel Clogs £900 below, Jimmy Choo £750 right

Now of course i will team my very own jewellery with this.............

Romantic Death

Another amazing creation from Alexander McQueen, Ed hardy beware, the designers are taking skull and bones to a whole new level. This jacket creates such unbernicity. Romantic. Luxurious.

Quote from Style.com   "Bone's are back baby, and not just on scrawny models."

There is life in Madonna after all.....

Madonna is looking smoking in the Ad campaign for Dolce and Gabanna, I think these pics make up for the airbrushed incident, I mean after all no one is perfect, what are we expecting celebrities to look like, they are real people.

I dont know if I should LAUGH or CRY!!!!! Madonna un-airbrushed............

Latest Photo of Madonna to be viewed publicly before they begin the dreaded airbrush, but some need it, I know I do.

OUTSTANDING CREATIONS..........ready to wear coming to a retailer near you

Louis Mariette is an exclusive bespoke jewellery and hat designer....his creations are out of world, as you can see from these images, which is just a small selection. They take you to an extremely magical place. Louis Mariette was born in Malawi, with Mauritian origins, he grew up in Botswana and Swaziland where nature was his playground and would spend many an hour exploring endless species of flora and fauna with a passion for colour and sparkle. He would collect semi precious stones, seedpods, cactus flowers, and beads and trimmings from local tribes. He was mesmerised by bird feathers, such as an explosion of iridescent colours from a lilac breasted roller as it darted after prey. Louis also recognised the incredible palette of colours and textures to be found in beetles, butterflies and dragonflies – a dazzling assault on his senses. Such depths of curiosity and inspiration are brought to life through his designs today. His imaginations wit these designs are extremely sought after in the haute couture industry and now he is bringing out a ready to wear collection. The collection has not yet been created but watch this space, as I'll be the first to blog when this collection hits the market as well as the first to purchase.

He has brought the wow factor to fashion shoots; adorned the windows of Harrods, Swarovski and many more to be named; exhibited at the New York public library; dressed the models on Ken Livingstone’s Indian mayoral trip, and his creations have made appearances at many socialite events such as Boucheron and Jaguar launch parties, Formula One in Monaco, balls at the Dorchester and Grosvenor and Elton John’s Oscars’ party Louis can create custom made items with choice of crystal colours and designs. You have probably seen many of his creations on ladies and fashion icons many of times. Alot of his designs are ideal for weddings, christenings, Bar mitzvah, races, balls, society events, cocktail parties and other special events. If you would be interested in any of these designs or to have something created for a special occasion then call Louis for an appointment to visit the studio near Sloane Square in London.  Please call +44 (0)20 7730 3050. Gossip from Gossip Girl.... Nooooooooo

Oh Dear Taylor, what are you doing, smoking in the early stages of your career on set/stage...... what ever your intentions missy, it worked very well. I mean a girl has to do these things to get famous, right?

As I told you guys already, I am a huge fan of Kim Kardashian. She is just so gorgeous. Well she has just announced she is getting her own waxwork in madam tussauds in NY. That is pretty amazing work for a reality tv star. Good Luck to her.

I love CHANEL

Stop me from crying my eyes out - BRING BACK THE BIBA PHENOMENON

I know its a long shot but my pain has been going on for far too long now. Numerous nights I cry myself to sleep - well you know what I mean. I hear of all the stories about the amazing Fashion House that once lived, unfortunately it was in a lifetime before mine. I know Biba was once recreated and now gone distant. But I think someone should take over who is passionate about the brand. Biba was an iconic and popular London fashion store of the 1960s and 1970s. It was started and primarily run by the Polish-born Barbara Hulanicki with help of her husband Stephen Fitz-Simon.

Ok, so Biba started in the 1960's by Barbara Hulanicki from Poland. Biba - Mini skirts, mini cars and Kings road. started off humble, cheap garments by mail order. 1970's Biba, labour of love, a label, a lifestyle. First store- a developed chemist, Then the Big Biba happened. An emporium in Kensington High street known as 'the most beautiful store in the world'. The store surrounded with art noveau squiggles, painted in gold by fabric designer Tony Little, he created a new Biba sign, inside was specially printed with deep red wallpaper, Egyptian topped columns, pink marbled floors, stained glass and wood panelling. Clothes were draped over old hatstands, lit by fringed lampshades, there was even a heavily cushioned area for stoned hippies. Then the most amazing part with a 400,000 square foot, Romantic roof top garden that consisted of pink flamingos and penguins. They stocked a range of shoes to household products, including Biba baked beans (which I desperately want to get hold of) and Biba soap flakes. This store is known to be the most glamorous , most decadent than any other store int he world.

Why does this not exist today????????????

Biba is a rags to riches story but does not end happy, so it is true that fashion can be a very cruel beast. The men in suits took away London's dream. Tacky mannequins, cheap signs and harsh fluorescent lighting where replaced, you know that's everywhere today................then boom, it's gone.

Why have we let things like this happen, I will try to make it my future to have such glamorous surroundings, without fluorescent lighting, I don't know how people can bare to shop in it all day long, Nor even work in it.

Calling all Biba fans, Have you been to the store? Have you heard of it? Are you selling Biba merchandise? tell me, share it with me. I'll advertise you also.

Its sad that such a story like this is long in the past.
